Lashings World Cricket XI 2018 and Anne Jagger Recruitment - A Winning Team

June 2018 saw the Anne Jagger team involved in a major awareness and fund raising campaign for Melanoma UK.

The charity cricket match at Southgate Adelaide was attended by several hundred keen cricket fans plus a selection of local and national business representatives invited by the club and the sponsors Anne Jagger Recruitment

Although Lashings World XI ran out comfortable winners, it was Melanoma UK that benefited most from money raised in the auction and raffle that took place over lunch. 

 One guest who may have regretted his successful auction bid was Anne Jagger Director, Terry Brame who 'won' the chance to face an over from current West Indian fast bowler Fidel Edwards (pictured left)

Although he courageously survived the six balls the sound of bat on ball was rarely heard as each delivery fizzed silently past the edge of his bat.

Thankfully in one piece, Terry decided that his cricketing come-back would be put on permanent hold, preferring the golf clubs to the willow and finding a stationary ball far easier to hit.
