Our website has fewer jobs than we're working on!  

Ok, we're just too busy at the moment. But read on, this will surprise you...

...a recruitment consultants life is pretty hectic right now. If you were to look at the internet job boards, the classified ads in your local and even the post cards in your newsagents window, you will see job after job advertised.

But...

If you look most at recruitment agencies websites at the moment, it doesn't look as if there is anything suitable for YOU. It's the same stuff advertised over and over and you're looking for something that really suits your skill set and level of experience.

Want to know why?

It's because it's a bit like going to the January Sales in the middle of February, everybody got there before you. In short, the Anne Jagger team are filling jobs far quicker than they can advertise them!

It's true, read on...

Although you may feel that the recruitment industry is far from 'regulated', we do, in fact, have to stick to pretty stringent guidelines governing what we advertise and how we attract candidates. We can't advertise for jobs we haven't got, and we can't promise interviews with clients with whom we do not have an exclusive agreement. This means that we have to be very careful about our website advertising and go through a very meticulous process between taking a role and advertising it on the web.

Therefore...

It is becoming more and more frequent that we are able to fill certain roles before we even have a chance to advertise them. It is often the case that we have pre-registered candidates who fit the bill without having to go through the process of writing up a website ad or putting it on one of the many job-boards, which are usually full of the sort of hard-to-fill positions for which companies end up advertising forever.

The moral of this particular story is...

Look very carefully at the type of candidates an agency is currently seeking. In our case, for example, we are finding it extremely easy to place experienced Customer Service Agents, Office Managers & Administrators and P.A. and Secretarial staff. 

If you feel that you fit the particular roles and are actively looking to move from your current position, it s likely that we have clients that will be interested in meeting you on a confidential basis before we have even advertised the position for which they are recruiting.
